Why are there are ad units in
Test Modes Table for various screen sizes
but do not appear in the pubcenter?
- Register your app name, category, and ad name at
pubcenter.microsoft.com shows how various ads appear within a tablet screen.
- Copy the Application ID (36-character GUID) and 8-digit Ad Unit ID
and paste it into a couple of places.
- DOWNLOAD and INSTALL: once per workstation into/from C:\Users\%username%\Downloads
Windows Advertising SDK 1,400,832 byte file W8AdSDK-RP-RTM-ENU.exe for the RTM version.
- In Windows Explorer, copy the Ads folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Advertising for Windows8
to the root of your application. If the folder doesn't exist, you didn't run the SDK.

Put ads in WinJS apps
- After exiting Visual Studio, add "Reference Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows 8 (JS)"
which includes the ad.js file referenced when this code is added to
the <head section within default.js:

The name specified in the HTML tag is defined in Properties > SDK Identity.
This integrates the SDK by adding a reference to the newly installed
Microsoft.Advertising.winmd assembly.
